Long Islandās impressive Baseball Heaven sits just an hour from New York City
The Yankees have Yankee Stadium, and the Mets have Citi Field. But youth players living in or visiting Long Island have their own state-of-the-art baseball facility to enjoy during the season.
Baseball Heaven, located just an hour from New York City in Yaphank, N.Y., offers young ballplayers top-notch fields and great competition. Players and fans are treated to the feel of a professional park with every visit.
Each of the seven fields has Sportsfield artificial turf, below grade dugouts, connecting bullpens, warning tracks and electronic scoreboards. Spectators have ballpark seating, concessions, a restaurant and picnic area.
The Ballpark Café offers a variety of menu options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sink your teeth into wraps, pizza, burgers, chicken fingers, hot dogs, salads and much more. Plus, you can call your order in early so it will be ready to pick up by the time your game is over.
For families, the Long Island area is a wonderful vacation spot with beaches, hotels, restaurants, amusement parks, and don’t forget New York City. Mom, dad, brothers and sisters can tag along for a fun weekend of baseball and sightseeing.
