Our second stop on the West tour we went to Chicago, and we quickly learned why they call it the Windy City! We still managed to have a blast hanging out with the players and their friends at the Stars and Strikes Memorial Classic. We couldn’t agree more with Michael who, while playing the Shock Doctor game said, “This is totally wicked ... Best day ever!” During the day, we had kids dying to see if they could throw the ball through the D in the Disney XD game and waiting for a chance ...

At the plate: White Sox hitters have had problems swinging the bat the last couple games, and it was not much better last week. Chicago ranks in the bottom third in just about every major offensive category. Left fielder Carlos Quentin leads the team with eight home runs, but that makes up half of his hit total. On the mound: Veteran Mike Buehrle has been Chicago's ace without a doubt, racking up four wins. John Danks was an early surprise out of the gate, but he has fallen back down to earth late...

At the plate: A powerful Cubs lineup has struggled to score runs at times, and it shows with their .500 record. Aramis Ramirez and Alfonso Soriano have done their share, but the Cubs need first baseman Derrek Lee to find his groove. Lee is hitting just .209 with one home run so far this season. If Lee gets back on track the Cubs can climb right back to the top of the NL Central. On the mound: The Cubs pitching staff has been mediocre thus far.
