Stealth Bomberz (GA) Win 8 Straight, Take ECB Battle of the South

East Cobb Baseball hosted 48 12U teams in the ECB Battle of the South from May 22-28 as the Stealth Bomberz out of Albany, Georgia notched a perfect record and took home the championship.

In pool play, the Bomberz took down the Blue Chip Bulls (SC), East Cobb Pride (GA) and the Wills Park Warriors (GA) by a combined score of 26-6. The Bomberz then reeled off five straight in the single-elimination bracket, capped off with a 5-1 win in the championship game against TPSA out of Cullman, Alabama. This marked two straight tournament wins for the Bomberz as they came off a win in the Alabama Super NIT.

In the Silver Bracket, the Simpsonville Stars from Simpsonville, South Carolina won four games to take the Silver Championship.

The Battle of the South featured many top 12U teams from around the South and the states of Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. Click here to check out the tournament website for full results.
