Baseball Youth All-American Games Honors Over 300 Top Ballplayers

Over 300 of the top travel ball players in the country from over 35 states were honored at the second annual Baseball Youth All-American Summer Games on July 20-22 at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. Players were placed on teams within their age divisions and competed against each other in a four-game guarantee format.

The event got underway on Monday, July 20 with an Opening Ceremonies at Grand Park’s Championship Field as all players were recognized for achieving All-American status. Teams practiced during the day to prepare for the start of pool play on Tuesday, July 21, and everyone participated in the Skills Competition on Tuesday evening.

Team Grey won the 13U/14U division over Team Navy, 14-8. Team Navy won over Team Red, 13-9, in 12U. Both championship teams went undefeated over the two days of play. In 8U/9U, Team Navy won 11-9 over Team Grey in a thrilling title game. Both 10U and 11U divisions competed in a round robin format as Team Grey won 10U with a 4-0 record and Team Red won 11U with a 3-1 record.

Players were selected as Baseball Youth All-Americans through National Tryouts held around the country during the winter, spring and summer. Those who couldn’t attend a tryout were able to submit video nominations to the Baseball Youth scouting staff for evaluation.

The next Baseball Youth All-American Games is set for this winter on Dec. 30-Jan. 2 at Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida. Click HERE for more information, or click HERE to learn more about the Baseball Youth National Tryouts.
