Florida Piranaz 11U Continuing Winning Tradition with Solid Start to 2013

By Chris Ruberg

The Florida Piranaz out of Lantana, Florida have continued their tradition and national recognition as a top tier travel team with a great start to 2013.

They started the season competing in the 12U USSSA Kendall Craze’s Wood Bat War Open age class, capturing the championship. Of the 15 tournaments the Piranaz have entered, four have been in the 12U age group, and they captured two titles and two top three finishes. Overall, the Piranaz have won seven championships during the season including the Lantana Spring Kick-Off NIT and the Florida Super NIT.

In addition, the Piranaz entered the Florida Premier Baseball League’s spring competition as a 12U team and finished 15-1 to win their division and a berth in the FPBL playoffs.

The team’s current season record is 64-18-3 with wins against Team MVP, Stealth 11U, Florida Pokers, and the Florida Battalion. The Piranaz will be in Orlando later this summer to partake in the USSSA Elite World Series.
