National Youth Baseball Championships Down to the Final Four

California teams have made their presence known at the National Youth Baseball Championships as all three won Saturday to move on to Sunday’s semifinals. SY Titans, BPA DeMarini Elite and Diamond MVP make up three of the four semifinal teams with the other being Team MVP from Florida.

BPA DeMarini Elite was responsible for the upset of the day as they took down the Banditos Black, going for their third straight NYBC title. BPA DeMarini dominated the Banditos with a perfect blend of hitting, pitching and outstanding defense to earn the 10-3 win.

Nash Johnson went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, and he also pitched 4 2/3 innings scattering three runs on six hits. Garrett Runyan came in to get the final four outs, and he didn’t allow one Bandito baserunner. Jose Gonzalez, Jr. went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Banditos.

Both of Sunday’s semfinals will be televised live on CBS Sports Network and streamed online by MLB.com. Team MVP will face SY TItans, and BPA DeMarini Elite takes on Diamond MVP. Click HERE to follow the games online and watch the streaming broadcast.
