Race for the NYBC Crown Concludes This Weekend

Eight teams are going head-to-head this weekend in California for the first two automatic bids into the National Youth Baseball Championships. The final week of the Race for the NYBC Crown is a double-elimination tournament.

The first two automatic bids for the National Youth Baseball Championships will be decided this weekend in California as Got ‘Em Baseball’s Race for the NYBC Crown wraps up. Eight teams qualified for Week 3, a double-elimination tournament to decide a champion. The two semifinal winners will earn the NYBC automatic bids.

Azusa, California’s SGV Hustle is the favorite on paper as they come into the final week ranked No. 1 in Baseball Youth’s Elite 25 rankings, and they were the champions of Weeks 1 & 2 earlier this year. Three other teams to keep an eye on are BPA DeMarini Elite, Lamorinda Immortals and the VSA Vipers. All three teams are ranking in Baseball Youth’s top 10. The San Diego Show is also playing well and capable of grabbing an NYBC berth.

Each team will play two games Saturday with the tournament concluding on Sunday. San Diego Show takes on VSA Vipers and BPA DeMarini Elite faces Team Mizuno to get the final weekend started.
