Over 250 teams from the southern U.S. took part in the USSSA Cajun Classic XXXV Super NIT on April 26-28 in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. Several top travel teams were in attendance, including the PSA Worth Sox Red (12U) and the LA Padres (11U).

The 12U Major division featured 29 teams, and it was the PSA Worth Sox Red coming out on top over the LA Padres in the title game, 9-5. Both teams went into the championship undefeated, but the Mississippi squad was too much to handle.

In the 11U Major division, the LA Padres defeated the LA Stars Baseball Academy in a great 4-3 ballgame. The Padres lost to the LA Dodgers in pool play but got them back in the first round of bracket play. The LA Stars were undefeated before falling in the championship.
